The trial is a real lesson, not a sales meeting: she meets the student, listens to where they are, what is their goal and advises honestly where to begin.

Yasmin teaches students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to adults. She usually recommends children are older than 5 years old and are passionate and excited about music.

Most students start that way. The first months build musical knowledge, hand position, reading notes, rhythm training and coordination slowly enough that nothing feels overwhelming, and quickly enough that there is always something new to play.

Yes — progress depends on practice between lessons, and practice needs an instrument. A weighted digital piano with 88 keys is a perfectly good start; an acoustic is lovely but not necessarily required at the beginning.

Absolutely! It's never too late to learn piano. Whether you are starting from scratch, returning after years away or simply want to play for yourself, adults can make wonderful progress with the correct guidance and consistent practice.

According to age, preference and goals, Yasmin offers lessons in 30, 45 or 60 mins, once per week. Depending on the need, the frequency of classes can be adjusted and duration can be increased with time.

Short and regular beats long and occasional. A young beginner doing a focused ten to fifteen minutes most days will progress faster than one doing an hour once a week.

Yasmin sets the week's practice explicitly, so nobody is left guessing what to do at the instrument.

Every lesson is one to one, in person, in Jeddah. The plan is built around the individual student's age, pace, and goals.

Only if they want to. Yasmin prepares students for ABRSM and Trinity College ,London exams and every student who has sat one has passed, 98% of them with Merit or Distinction.

Exams are a useful structure, not an obligation — plenty of students play purely for pleasure.

Not at all! The technical foundation is classical, but students can choose to play Classical, Pop, Jazz, Blues, Movie music, Arabic and contemporary pieces… I love exploring different styles. Music should be challenging and fun.

The annual recital is the highlight of the year and most students take part, but nobody is pushed onto a stage before they are ready. Performing is built up gradually, and confidence is the point of it.

Fees depend on lesson length, packages and frequency. Lessons are offered in packages of 10, 15, or 30 lessons according to the studio fee structure.

English and Arabic, whichever suits the student better. Yasmin also speaks some French and Spanish musical verbatims to make multinational students feel connected and comfortable.

I’d love that… but I’m also realistic! Consistent, focused practice is more important than sitting at the piano for hours.

Then you’re learning! Mistakes are completely normal. We just don’t let them become permanent residents. 😉

Absolutely—if we can find a suitable arrangement! Sometimes your favorite song can become your favorite piano piece.

That happens! We look at why they’re losing interest and find ways to bring curiosity and enjoyment back into their learning.

That moment when a student suddenly plays something they once thought was impossible—and looks at me like, “Wait… I actually did that?!” That never gets old.

I don't believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. I get to know the student, understand how they learn, and build lessons around their strengths, challenges and musical interests.

Yes! Piano is my main instrument, but I also play/teach marimba and drums. Basically, I have a special heart to percussion instruments. 😄
